Morwen was named for her maternal great-grandmother, Morwen of Lossarnach. She appears in at least one unpublished story, set during the last decade of Faramir's life, after Éowyn's death, where it is established that she is unmarried, living with her long-term companion Serindë, and involved in numerous charitable endeavours, including a school for girls in Minas Tirith.
